After some nice days in the capital, we move on to the country side and discover the Mekong Delta! We head to a small town called Vinh Long and have a nice homestay at the island An Binh. It's ferry time!
Our homestay, as it should be: 35°, hammocks and the sound of nature (chicken, cicada, birds and fishes...)
The next day starts really early at 6 a.m. and we undertake a Mekong-tour - with us are 5 Frenchies :-)
Main attraction is the floating market of Cai Be - it used to be much bigger, but nowadays only a small quantity of boats implement the market. This because of a economical improvement (good streets etc.) and the markets are on mainland now.
These two ladies take us on a ride through smaller waters, really charming...
And we also visit a candy-factory - they make delicious sweets out of rice "popcorn" :-)
