After a short pit stop in Europe we continue our travels and change continent - Asia, here we come! The journey begins with a A380-flight from London to Hongkong - the aircraft is a premiere for us!
And here we are in crazy Hongkong! We're staying in Mong Kok, one of the most liveliest districts in HGK and also one of the districts with the highest population density worldwide!
Us after a 22 hours journey arriving in Mong Kok.
And of course, the food is just AMAZING!
We spend five nights in HGK and have plenty of time to discover the city - and to adapt to the new timezone. In just ten days we had a 13-hour time shift...
Here we are with Bruce Lee :-)
And we can even bring in some Kung Fu skills...
Kowloon Park with its flamingos...
On our way from Kowloon to Hongkong Island...
Feeling pretty tall here :-)
HGK is great and also very hectic - the Hongkong Park is a nice resting place...
... as is the Botanic Garden.
Food is everywhere...
... and in between a nice Temple...
... and other beautiful sites.
Very unique and interesting: the double-decker trams!
Here we are enjoying the world famous skyline of HGK Island, pretty colourful!
Near our Motel there is the very nice flower market...
... and also the Bird Market - poor little things are put inside ultra small cages...
Life in HGK is pretty regulated - the results are nice clean streets :-)
We also undertake a journey to a nearby outlying island - Cheung Chau!
Hanging out with Chris, a Kung Fu friend... Beer is awfully expensive in HGK, but that's the deal... Great times!
Also a real highlight: spending time with our friend Martin, who drove us around HGK and showed us some great local spots.
Best breakfast ever!!
A real curiosity: a cow in the middle of nowhere in the Northern Territories, just chilling, not attached or anything... And it loves to be kuddled (lies down like a dog ;)!
Then we went to see the Temple of 10'000 Buddhas - all the way up to the temple is edged with golden monks :-)
And here is the main square of the temple...
We had a great time in Hong Kong and are happy to be back in July! So much to see, do and especially eat :-)
From here our journey continues to Hanoi, Vietnam! Stay tuned!
