The trip from El Castillo to Diriamba - where Alfredo's family lives - starts with an early panga-ride at 5 A.M. to San Carlos. From there we take the bus to the capital Managua (7 hours) and then at last a microbus to Diriamba. After 12 hours we're finally there and very happy to meet Alfredo's family! Diriamba is a small town and very authentic.

The Pacific is only 30 minutes away from Diriamba, so of course we had to go! Good times with Alfredo's abuelita :-)
