The cool thing about Mérida is that it's close to lovely beaches - next stop is a small fisher-village called Chelem. We find a lovely flat on airbnb and have holidays within our trip - pool included :-)
We stay here for over a week and also spend New Year here - this is probably one of the best we've ever had! Sun, beach, pool... And we have lots of space in our apartment (over 80 squaremeters) and a great terrace with hammocks - yeihhhhh. Good times!

Also, there's a fully equiped kitchen which is nice after almost 3 months without cooking.
We can't resist to try a Corona Mega!
Chelem is very laid back and relaxed...
The beach is very nice and not many people are around.
Can you see the two smalls dots on this photo? Those are wild flamingos :-) It's amazing to see so many wild flamingos. There are regions where on one mexican there are two flamingos.
